The comments below <br /> must be addressed before a permit can be issued. These comments address building issues only. <br /> Code citations provided in the following review comments reference the 2018 International <br /> Residential Code (IRC) and the 2018 Washington State Energy Code (WSEC). Amendments to the <br /> adopted building codes by Washington Administrative Code (WAC) Title 51 are incorporated into <br /> the referenced code citations. Citations provided in the comments reference the IRC unless noted <br /> otherwise. <br /> In order for the processing of your application to continue, the following documentation shall be <br /> submitted to Permit Services for review: <br /> a. Itemized letter addressing the comments provided below. <br /> b. Two complete sets of revised construction drawings. <br /> Submittal documents should contain sufficient information and detail to review the proposed project <br /> for compliance with the adopted building codes. Upon submittal of the revised documents, your <br /> application will be given priority and the review will recommence. <br /> Architectural <br /> 1. The proposed basement conversion includes new habitable space. Please provide ceiling <br /> heights for each room in the basement. See IRC R305.1. <br /> 2. Stair details should be included. The stair rise and run, and width, should be specified. A <br /> section showing the headroom clearances should be provided. Landings are required at the top <br /> and bottom. Include details for the guards (if applicable). Handrails should be provided. See <br /> IRC Section R311.7. <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
