<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8206 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION reducing the speed limit along 16th Street between Grand Ave and East Marine <br />View Drive and Holly Drive between 100th Street SW and Evergreen Way. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />A. RCW 46.61.415 and WAC 308-330-270 grant the City Council the authority to alter speed limits <br />by resolution; and <br /> <br />B. The City Traffic Engineer has conducted an engineering study of 16th Street between Grand Ave <br />and East Marine View Drive and Holly Drive between 100th Street SW and Evergreen Way, the <br />findings of which are that the current speed limits are greater than is reasonable and safe, and <br />the recommendations of which are to set a 25 mph speed limit along 16th Street between <br />Grand Ave, and East Marine View Drive and Holly Drive and a 25 mph speed limit along Holly <br />Drive between 100th Street SW and Evergreen Way; and <br /> <br />C. The City Transportation Advisory Committee has reviewed the staff recommendations and <br />recommends that the speed limit change be authorized. <br /> <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: <br /> <br />1. The speed limit on 16th Street between Grand Ave and East Marine View Drive, be set at 25 <br />mph; and <br />2. The speed limit on Holly Drive between 100th Street SW and Evergreen Way), be set at 25 mph; <br />and <br />3.
