• a, <br /> ORDINANCE NO. la E <br /> An ordinance regulating the use of certain parts of certain <br /> public streets, avenues, and other public places in Everett, providing <br /> a penalty for the violation thereof, and declaring an emergency. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: No person shall, in the city of Everett, in or <br /> upon either Colby Avenue, Hewitt Avenue, or that part of Wetmore Avenue <br /> between Hewitt Avenue and Pacific Avenue, nor upon any public street or <br /> alley or other public place within one block either north or south of <br /> Hewitt Avenue between the east line of Broadway and the west line of <br /> Grand Avenue, make any public address or hold any public meeting, or <br /> loiter in said streets at such meeting, or expose for sale any goods, <br /> wares or merchandise, or erect or maintain any booth, stand, or tent <br /> for such purposes. <br /> Section 2: Any person violating any of the provisions of <br /> this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be fined in any sum not exceeding <br /> one hundred (1100) dollars, or be imprisoned for not more than thirty <br /> (30) days. <br /> Section 3: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in. <br /> conflict herewith are hereby repealed. <br /> Section 4: WHEREAS, the above ordinance is necessary for <br /> the proper regulation of the use of the above named places, an emergency <br /> is declared to exist, and this ordinance shall take effect upon its <br /> passage and publication. <br /> Mayor. <br /> Passed S ' 1 9 )916 <br /> Attest <br /> City Clem <br /> Published SEP 2 1 1916 <br />
