ORDINANCE NO. b' <br /> An ordinance providing for the exchange of certain lands <br /> now in Forest Park, for certain other lands adjacent to said park <br /> and necessary for an approach thereto, and declaring an emergency. <br /> WHEREAS, the county of Snohomish is about to make an <br /> improvement of what is known as the Mukilteo road, by a regrade <br /> and permahent pavement thereof, and it is necessary in order to <br /> obtain a satisfactory grade that the east end of said road be newly <br /> located, and <br /> WHEREAS, said new location has been made in such place <br /> as will furnish a new and improved entrance to Forest *ark, and <br /> WHEREAS, it has been agreed between the said county of <br /> Snohomish and the city of Everett that if the said city will furnieh <br /> the said right-of-way for the new location of said road the said <br /> county will grade, pave and permanently improve the same; and the <br /> said city now owns certain land, a part of said Forest Park but <br /> separate therefrom by Federal Avenue and can make an exchange of a <br /> part of said land for the land necessary for this newly located <br /> road. <br /> NOT THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That the mayor and city clerk of Everett are hereby <br /> authorized and directed to make, execute and deliver unto Charles <br /> Hickey a warranty deed to the following described land: <br /> "Beginning at a point on the north and south center line <br /> of Section 31, of Township 29 North, Range 5 East, W.M. which said <br /> point is southerly 1323.E-3 feet from the quarter corner on the north <br /> line of said Section 31; thence run southerly on said center line <br /> 200 feet; thence westerly parallel to the north line of the land <br /> now owned by the Pacific College Association of the united Norwegian <br /> Lutheran Church tc the east line of Federal Street in said Everett; <br /> thence northerly along the east line of said Federal Street 200 feet; <br /> thence easterly parallel to the north line of said Pacific College <br /> Association of United Norwegian Lutheran Church' s land to the point <br /> begun at. " <br /> free from all liens and assessments, on consideration that the said <br /> Charles Hickey shall make, execute and deliver to Everett a warranty <br /> deed to the "South one-half of Block 8 of Swaiwell' s Third Addition <br />
