IP ORDINANCE NO, An ordinance providing for the improvement of Thirty- fifth Street from the west line of Norton Avenue to the east line of Friday Avenue, by removal of old lumber, grading to proper grade, construction of concrete pavement, curbs, drive- ways and necessary walks, and doing all other work in con- nection therewith as may be necessary to make a complete improvement, approving the plans and specifications for such improvement, creating an assessment district, creating a local improvement district fund therefor, providing that payment for said improvement be made by special assessment on property in said district under the mode of "Payment by Bonds". WHEREAS, a majority peition of the property-owners petitioning for said improvement has heretofore been filed with the commissioner of public works, and said commissioner found the things set forth in said petition to be true, and WHEREAS, the commissioner of public works has filed with the city council all data and information in regard to said improvement as required by law, and WHEREAS, the commissioner of public works has recommend- ed to the city council that such improvement petitioned for be made, and it appearing to the city council that public conven- ience and necessity requires said improvement to be made, NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section l: That Thirtyfifth Street from the west line of Norton Avenue to the east line of Friday Avenue be improved by removal of old lumber, grading to proper grade, construction of concrete pavement, curbs, driveways and necessary walks, and doing all other work in connection therewith as may be necessary to make a complete improvement, according to plans and specifi- cations prepared under the direction of the city engineer,which plans and specifications are hereby approved and adopted.
