The Request for Proposal (RFP)process was used to find a qualified dealer <br /> who can provide assistance with system implementation and training in addition to competitive pricing. <br /> Requests were sent to four potential proposers, advertised in the Herald and posted on the City's website. A <br /> single response was received from Municipal Emergency Services, Inc. This response was reviewed by Fire <br /> and determined to be responsive to the RFP and competitively priced. Staff is recommending award to <br /> Municipal Emergency Services. <br /> This purchase will be primarily funded by a FEMA grant of$700,000. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Award Request for Proposal 2016-030 for Scott High Pressure Self Contained Breathing Apparatus <br /> equipment to Municipal Emergency Services in the amount of$724,190.38 including Washington State sales <br /> tax. <br /> 123 <br />
