2013 <br /> - Budget Adjustments <br /> Tally Sheet <br /> Department Code Rev Exp FB <br /> GGR-15 Fire Dept Re-approp-Emergency Mgmt Grant 032R 60,084 <br /> GGR-15 General Fund Re-approp-Emergency Mgmt Grant 002R 60,084 <br /> The WA State Military Department has been given the authority by the Department of Homeland <br /> Security(DHS)to administer federal dollars in providing DHS Emergency Management <br /> Performance Grant(EMPG)funds to local jurisdictions that have emergency management <br /> programs. These grants are intended to supplement the local jurisdiction's emergency <br /> management operating budget in an effort to enhance its program. <br /> This EMPG grant award was$68,971 with the requirement of a local match satisfied by our <br /> emergency management operating budget. Council approved this contract at it's August 1, 2012, <br /> Council meeting. <br /> This re-appropriation carries forward the remaining amount of$60,084 to the 2013 budget. <br /> Increase Grant Revenue 002 3339704306 60,084 <br /> Increase Equipment Budget 032 5150001410 60,084 <br /> Department Code Rev Exp FB <br /> GGR-16 Parks Dept Re-approp-Roof Replacement Proj Grant 101R 266,236 266,236 <br /> The City was awarded grant funds in 2012 by the Washington State Legislature for the <br /> replacement of roofs on several of the buildings in City parks. These include the horticultural <br /> building; Legion Hall and the garage at American Legion Park; Floral Hall at Forest Park;the <br /> Van Valey House and garage at 2130 Colby Avenue;and the golf operations center at Walter E. <br /> Hall Park/Golf Course. The grant is administered through the Washington State Department of <br /> Commerce. Council authorized the Mayor to sign the agreement with the Washington State <br /> Public Works Board at the September 12, 2012, Council meeting. <br /> The total amount of the grant is$394,000,with no local match required. The grant is split <br /> between Parks and Golf. This re-appropriation carries forward the Park's amount of$266,236 to <br /> 2013.
