both principal and interest payable in gold coin of the United States of America of the present standard of weight and fineness at the fiscal agency of the State of Washington in the City and State of Yew York. This bond is one of an issue of bonds in the sum of Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ( 600,000) , for the purpose of con- structing a pipe line and obtaining a supply of water from the Sultan River and conveying the same by gravity for the use of said City and its inhabitants, under and pursuant to and in strict conformity with the Constitution and statutes of the State of Washington, and the Charter of said City of Everett, and pur- suant to the vote of three-fifths of the qualified voters of said City voting at a special election held August 24, 1915, and pur- suant to Ordinance Yo. 1727 of said City, a full copy of said Ordinance being printed on the back hereof , and said Everett for the further assurance of the purchaser of this bond and of each successive holder hereof, hereby finds and declares that the same is issued in strict compliance with the Laws of the State of Tashington, authorizing cities of the first class to become indebted, with the Charter of said City, and aid Ordinance ? o.1727 and that all acts, things, elections, orders , ordinances, reso- lutions and conditions precedent to the right of the said City of Everett to issue and deliver this bond as prescribed by said Laws , Charter and Ordinance, have happened, existed and been done and performed prior to the issuance hereof : that this bond is issued for the strictly municipal purpose3 of said City, and that its issue does not violate any condition, provision or limitation in the Constitution or Laws of the State of Washington. The full faith, credit and resources of said Everett are hereby pledged and punctual for the prompt, payment of the principal and interest of this bond.
