L-(,23 <br /> An ordinance relating to making false statements for the <br /> purpose of obtaining intoxicating liquor or alcohol, or for the <br /> purpose of obtaining shipment, transportation, or delivery of <br /> any intoxicating liquor; amending Ordinance No. 1695; and declar- <br /> ing an e:a..ergency. <br /> THE CITY Or EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That ordinance No. 1695 of Everett is hereby <br /> amended by adding thereto a section, to be numbered "Section 15at, <br /> as follows: <br /> "Section 15a: It shall be unlawful for any person to <br /> make a false statement to a physician, druggist, or pharmacist, <br /> for the purpose of obtaining intoxicating liquor or alcohol, or to <br /> any railroad, express, or transportation company, or any person <br /> engaged in the business of transporting goods, wares and merchan- <br /> dise for the purpose of obtaining the shipment, transportation or <br /> delivery of any intoxicating liquor". <br /> Section 2: WHEREAS, it is necessary that the above <br /> ordinance go into effect immediately for the purpose of regulating <br /> the sale of intoxicating liquors, an emergency is declared to exist <br /> and this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect <br /> from and after its passage and publication. <br /> Passed l Fj 19 <br /> Attest _ <br /> City Clerk. - <br /> Published MAY 1 1916 <br /> l <br />
