BTL 19011 Wood-Sno Road NE,Suite 100
Woodinville,WA 98072-4436
Phone:(425)814-8448
ENGINEERING Fax:(425)821-2120
PROJECT RECORD
Date: January 26,2024
To: Fitch Design Company
Attn: Selena Fitch
From: Tyler Wandschneider,PE
Project: Linton Remodel Pages: 1 + Attachments
2508 Grand Ave—Everett,WA
Dear Selena,
BTL Engineering performed a site visit on January 16t', 2024, to review the existing crawl space
framing for the Linton Remodel project at the above address. The contractor had exposed the
basement crawlspace and ceiling framing prior to our arrival, so all existing conditions were easily
visible. As a result,we noted several sill plates, floor joists, and floor beams in various stages of
decay and areas where the existing floor system was too close to grade per current 2018 IRC
requirements. Some framing around the stairs needs to be adequately supported to create a
continuous load path from the floor system to the foundation. As discussed,we've provided the
following Structural Sketch Sheets to supplement our permitted construction documents. Please
distribute these sketches as needed to the team and any inspector that may require them.
Note:These sketches are provided under the assumption a vapor barrier will be provided over the
existing soil in the crawlspace, and adequate crawlspace ventilation will be provided to meet current
IRC/IEBC requirements. The exact details and ventilation calculations are outside the scope of BTL
Engineering's construction documents.
Give me a call if you have any questions or comments.
Sincerely,
Tyler Wandschneider,P.E.
BTL Engineering oF wa
ti
x
260 C j
1VA1.L•G
Attachments: SSK-01, SSK-02, SSK-03
