Revive Properties PLC
Land Development I Design and Construction Management I Permit Coordination
February 15, 2022
TO: Rakeeb Khan
FROM: Steve Hall, Revive Properties
RE: Response to Comments
BW2012-002
p C CEOVE
MAY 0 2 2022
CITY OF EVERETT
Permit Services
Thank you for the site visit and the follow-up comments of January 10, 2022, which are attached for
reference.
To prepare the submittal documents, a structural engineer was retained. To follow are specific answers to
comments made and received:
a. The attic is shown as storage area only. The submittal does not propose to add habitable rooms and
use is not changed. The existing bathroom was added by permit in 1999. Attached is a copy of that
approved permit. Safety glazing is added for the stairway and other windows less than 3 feet from
the floor for safety measures.
b. This proposal does not change habitability standards. The stairway is the original stairway and
cannot be replaced without significant structure modification. Previous codes allowed for an
exception and since there is not a change in use, current code does not apply. Handrails and safety
glass will be added as shown on the plans.
c. All materials to replace fire damage are specified in the structural plans.
d. The roof structural and framing plan are shown on the S2.1 and S2.2 of the engineered structural
plans submitted.
e. Access to opens in the attic spaces are referenced on page A-6.
f Plans page notes the opening on page A-4 and framing note requirements are referenced.
6121 NE 175n; ST #B-402 I KENMORE, WA 98028
T 360.961.3638 I REVIVEPROPERTIES@COMCASTNET
