2.1.3 Element 3: Control Flow Rates
Will you construct stormwater retention and/or detention facilities?
❑ Yes® No
Will you use permanent infiltration ponds or other low impact development(example: rain
gardens, bio-retention, porous pavement) to control flow during construction?
❑ Yes® No
List and describe BMPs: Temporary Sediment Trap (C240), Wattles (C235)
A sediment trap will be constructed at the northwest corner of the site. The sediment trap will
collect construction stormwater and allow for sediment to settle at the bottom of the basin.
Wattles will be installed at the perimeter of the construction work to prevent sediment-laden
runoff from leaving the construction area.
Installation Schedules: Install prior to construction operations.
Inspection and Maintenance plan: Remove sediment from pond when it reaches 1 foot in depth.
Any damage to the pond embankment or slopes shall be repaired. Remove accumulated
sediment at the wattles.
Responsible Staff: Contractor
2.1.4 Element 4: Install Sediment Controls
List and describe BMPs: Wattles (BMP C235)
Temporary Sediment Trap (BMP C240)
Wattles shall be installed along the perimeter of the project site to filter and reduce runoff
velocities exiting the site. Temporary sediment traps shall be constructed to collect and treat
on-site stormwater.
Installation Schedules: Install wattles and sediment pond prior to construction operations.
Inspection and Maintenance plan: Repair damaged wattles and pond embankments or slopes.
Remove sediment deposits accumulated along wattles and within sediment traps. Inspect
wattles after storm events.
Responsible Staff: Contractor
1-1 a g e 17
