` y <br /> ORDINANCA NO. 169 <br /> An ordinance defining and fixing the corporate limits of <br /> the city of Averett and setting forth the territory to be excluded <br /> from the corporate limits of said city, and declaring an emergency. <br /> WHARAAS, petitions having been heretofore duly filed with <br /> the city council of the city of Averett requesting that the city <br /> boundaries of the city of Averett be altered and changed, and that <br /> certain territory as set forth in said petitions be excluded from the <br /> corporate limits of said city, and requesting that the altering and <br /> changing of said boundaries and the excluding of the territory there-. <br /> from as set forth in said petitions be submitted to the qualified <br /> electors of the city of Averett at a special election to be called <br /> therefor, and <br /> WHr:RAAS, said petitions for excluding said territory from <br /> the boundaries of said city were sufficient and said proposition was <br /> duly and regularly submitted to the qualified electors of the city of <br /> . verett at an election held in the various election precincts of said <br /> city on the 16th day of November, 1915, and <br /> WHr.;RAAS, said proposition was duly adopted and approved <br /> by more than three-fifths of the electors voting at said election, <br /> NOW THARAFORA, THA CITY OF AVARATT DOTS ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That the following described territory be and <br /> it is hereby excluded from said city of r;verett, a municipal corpora- <br /> tion, and shall no longer be a part of said city, to-wit: <br /> Beginning at the point where the south line of section <br /> twenty-nine (29) , township twenty-nine :(29) north, range five (5) <br /> east W„M,, intersects the center line of the channel of the Snohomish <br /> River as said channel is defined by the harbor lines established <br /> December 23rd, 1910, by the United States Government; thence down <br /> stream following the center line of said Snohomish River channel to <br />
