ORDINANCE NO. <br /> An ordinance creating and establishing in the treasury <br /> of the city of Everett a fund to be called "City of Everett Water <br /> Supply Fund" ; providing that the proceeds of the sale of all bonds <br /> gold pursuant to Ordinance No. 1662 of the city of Everett, passed <br /> June 29th, 1915, and published July 1st, 1915., be placed in said <br /> fund; providing that the cost of constructing a pipe-line and all <br /> necessary or convenient structures and accessories for diverting <br /> water from the Sultan River and conveying the same by gravity for the <br /> use of said city and its inhabitants; and of acquiring the lands, <br /> water, water-rights , easements , rights-of-way, privileges and <br /> property necessary or convenient for the proper construction, control, <br /> maintenance and operation of said pipe-line, and all legal and <br /> engineering expenses in connection therewith, as provided by said <br /> Ordinance No. 1662, be paid from said fund; providing for the issuance <br /> of warrants against said fund; and declaring an emergency. <br /> WHEREAS, at a special election held in. the city of Everett, <br /> state of 'Washington) on the 24th day of August, 1915, under and pur- <br /> suant to Ordinance No. 1662, passed June 29th, 1915, and published <br /> July 1st, 1915, more than three-fifths of the qualified voters in <br /> said city voting at said election voted in favor of the proposition <br /> submitted pursuant to said ordinance providing for the construction <br /> of a pipe-line and necessary appurtenances, and acquiring the lands , <br /> water, water-rights, easements, rights-of-way, privileges and property <br /> necessary for the purpose of supplyingsaid city with a gravity system <br /> for furnishing water to said city and in favor of the proposition of <br /> issuing general bonds of said city for the purpose of paying there- <br /> for, and for the purpose of paying all legal and engineering expenses <br /> and other expenses in connection therewith; and <br /> WHEREAS, the city council of the city of Everett does <br /> not deem it advisable or to the best interests of said city that <br />
