V Level: Library <br /> After 2n6 story plumbing/electrical work, move Dining Room/Library wall and complete <br /> sheetrock ceiling. <br /> Wall to be demolished is load bearing. It was added in 1970s, shifting load from original <br /> location. Ceiling/floor joints allow wall to be moved back to original 1910 location. New wall to <br /> have 5 foot framed/casing opening to library (but no operating doors). Header sufficient to <br /> support 2na story load. <br /> Library will be surrounded by built-in bookcases. Resulting space above bookcase on north <br /> wall allows run for water supply and waste pipes from 211 story bath without needing to cut <br /> into ceiling/floor joists. <br /> • Demolition: <br /> o Tear out load bearing south wall <br /> o Tear out particle board floor underlayment <br /> o Tear out exterior window <br /> • Framing/Walls: <br /> o New load bearing wall (in original 1910 location)to separate Library from Dining Room. 5-foot <br /> opening (no door) in wall, with traditional casing (see Elevation: Library Wall and Opening). <br /> o New ceiling (currently torn out) <br /> • Windows: <br /> o Install owner-furnished window <br /> • Electrical: <br /> o Replace electrical receptacles (four), one each wall <br /> o Install owner-furnished ceiling light fixture &wall switch <br /> • Floor: <br /> o About 50%of floor (^300 linear feet) is missing original 3'/"fir floor. Restore missing floor with <br /> owner-furnished tongue-and-groove fir flooring. <br /> • Trim/Finishes: <br /> o Traditional 5" casings around window and door opening with 6" cap/crown (stained finish) <br /> o Traditional milled S" baseboard molding(stained finish) <br /> o Paint ceiling,walls <br /> • Bookcases: Install Owner-provided built-in bookcases and bench seat below window. <br /> Notes: <br /> • Does not include refinish of wood floors (Owner will complete following remodel) <br /> • Owner is obtaining City of Everett building permit for project <br />
