V Level: Library After 2n6 story plumbing/electrical work, move Dining Room/Library wall and complete sheetrock ceiling. Wall to be demolished is load bearing. It was added in 1970s, shifting load from original location. Ceiling/floor joints allow wall to be moved back to original 1910 location. New wall to have 5 foot framed/casing opening to library (but no operating doors). Header sufficient to support 2na story load. Library will be surrounded by built-in bookcases. Resulting space above bookcase on north wall allows run for water supply and waste pipes from 211 story bath without needing to cut into ceiling/floor joists. • Demolition: o Tear out load bearing south wall o Tear out particle board floor underlayment o Tear out exterior window • Framing/Walls: o New load bearing wall (in original 1910 location)to separate Library from Dining Room. 5-foot opening (no door) in wall, with traditional casing (see Elevation: Library Wall and Opening). o New ceiling (currently torn out) • Windows: o Install owner-furnished window • Electrical: o Replace electrical receptacles (four), one each wall o Install owner-furnished ceiling light fixture &wall switch • Floor: o About 50%of floor (^300 linear feet) is missing original 3'/"fir floor. Restore missing floor with owner-furnished tongue-and-groove fir flooring. • Trim/Finishes: o Traditional 5" casings around window and door opening with 6" cap/crown (stained finish) o Traditional milled S" baseboard molding(stained finish) o Paint ceiling,walls • Bookcases: Install Owner-provided built-in bookcases and bench seat below window. Notes: • Does not include refinish of wood floors (Owner will complete following remodel) • Owner is obtaining City of Everett building permit for project
