SNO-ISLE TECH 2O23 SMALL WORKS Section 00 20 00, Page 4 <br />MCGRANAHAN ARCHITECTS INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS <br />1.13 EVIDENCE OF QUALIFICATIONS <br />Upon request of the Owner, a bidder whose bid is under consideration for award of the Contract, shall promptly submit <br />satisfactory evidence of its financial resources, its experience, and the organization and equipment it has available for the <br />performance of the Contract. <br />1.14 EXECUTION OF CONTRACT <br />The successful bidder will be required within ten (10) days after issuance of Notice of Intent to Award Contract to execute a <br />public works Contract (Modified AIA Form or other form supplied by Owner) and to furnish a Performance Bond and a <br />Payment Bond, each for one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract sum, plus sales tax, and the required evidence of <br />insurance for the minimum coverages as described in the Contract Documents. <br />1.15 REQUIREMENTS FOR EXECUTION OF DOCUMENTS <br />All documents required to be executed by the Contract Documents, such as the Contract, Bonds and Bid Forms, shall comply <br />with the following: <br />Proprietorship <br />Execution by the Contractor should be in the correct legal name. If a sole proprietorship (even though the words "And <br />Company" appear), the person should name himself/herself as Owner. Example: John Doe dba/John Doe Company. <br />Partnership <br />If the Contractor is a partnership, the managing partner should sign, describing himself/herself as such. <br />Corporation <br />If the Contractor is a corporation, a signature for the corporation by the President or equivalent and by the Secretary or <br />equivalent, describing themselves as such will be presumed sufficient. If the corporation has a resolution or copy of by-laws <br />authorizing some other signature, the resolution or copy of the by-laws should be with the Contract. <br />Authorized signatures for the bonding company and satisfactory evidence of said authority, is required on the Performance <br />and Payment Bond. <br />1.16 TIME OF DELIVERY OF BONDS <br />The Bidder shall deliver the required Performance Bond and a Payment Bond to the Owner not later than ten (10) days after <br />issuance of Notice of Intent to Award Contract. No Work may be performed prior to the submittal and approval of the Bonds. <br />Unless otherwise specified in the Bidding Documents, the Bonds shall be written in Statutory Form as required by State of <br />Washington RCW 39.08 and the Contract Documents by a surety firm licensed to do business in the State of Washington <br />with an A.M. Best rating of not less than specified in Article 11 of the General Conditions. The Bidder shall require the <br />Attorney -in -Fact who executed the required Bonds on behalf of the surety to affix thereto a certified and current copy of <br />Power of Attorney. <br />mcg-ARC 2120.000 February 28, 2023 <br />
