All welding shall be performed by certified welders. All <br />welded joints at Frames 1 through 7 shall be inspected by Ultrasonic testing. Also field <br />welded moment connections at cantilevered beams shall be tested. <br />1-112" Metal roof deck shall be minimum'2 span Type B conforming ASTM A611,_galvanized with <br />light commercial coating. Minimum end lap of sheets to be 211. Weld to supports as shown <br />on plans. <br />The Hambro joists and Taftrus open web girders shall be fabricated and installed in accordance <br />aiiLL.the Manufacturera_approyed published specifications and recommendatiops. Provide randomly <br />spaced X bridging as required to reduce floor vibration. <br />FOUNDATION <br />All footings shall bear on the very dense, gray glactial till found at depths of approximately <br />5 feet below existing grade. <br />Fill placed beneath slab areas shall be compacted in 12 inch lifts to 909E density (ASTM:D-1557) <br />See Soils report by Rittenhouse -Zeman and Associates for complete recommendations regarding <br />the foundation, site soils and drainage. <br />
