Scott Schreffler
From: Scott Schreffler
Sent: Wednesday, December 11, 2024 2:35 PM
To: sstt1205@hotmail.com
Subject: B2410-052 - 2520 100th SE Building Permit
Hello Brandon,
I reviewed the drawings and revisions are required to continue my review. See comments as follows:
1. It appears you reused the drawings from the previous permit. The work that is referred to on the previous
permit has been completed. For example, graphics and notes indicate "NEW WALLS." These are in fact now
existing.
2. Submittal requirements include providing an existing floor plan, and a proposed floor plan. Please revise your
proposal to accurately reflect what is new vs. what is existing. All work is considered new unless annotated as
existing. Please clarify.
3. Please provide a new "PROPOSED"floor plan that includes all the IRC Section 330 requirements. These must be
shown on the plans. Reference to other drawings is acceptable, as annotated on the floor plan.
4. The proposed work includes a new ramp at the front of the house. The ramp is shown differently on the site
plan vs.floor plan. I presume this is a new ramp as it does not appear on the previous permit, nor in any
photographs of the existing house. This ramp requires construction details, dimensions, handrail and guard
requirements per IRC 330.9. Please provide all the details of construction complying with the prescriptive
requirements of the IRC. It is recommended to hire a design professional to prepare the drawings correctly.
5. Please add bedroom designations per IRC 330 accordingly. Label the bedrooms as S, NS1 or NS2 according to
the requirements.
6. Please review the grab bar requirements and confirm they will fit in all bathrooms. It appears they will not fit in
one of the bathrooms.
Please revise the plans and resubmit according to the online protocol at the following link.
https://www.everettwa.gov/DocumentCenter/View/35938
Let me know if you have any questions.
— Scott Schreffler, Registered Architect
Senior Building Plans Examiner I Permit Services
425.257.8810 13200 Cedar Street, 2nd Floor, Everett,WA 98201
EVERETT Phone Hours: M-F: 8:30 a.m.—12 p.m & 1 p.m.—3 p.m.
everettwa.gov/permits I Facebook I Twitter
Note:Emails and attachments sent to and from the City of Everett are public records and may be subject to disclosure pursuant to the Public
Records Act.
1
