JAN 12 2023 <br /> Dear Mr. Martin, CITY OF EVERETT <br /> Permit Services <br /> Please see enclosed our team's responses to City Comments which we received on December <br /> 16, 2022 for the fire damage repair project at River's Landing. Agency comments are in <br /> standard text format, and our responses are in bold italics. <br /> Architectural <br /> 1. The project includes work on the exterior envelope of the building. The RCW 64.55 form <br /> should be completed and submitted with the application. Additional documentation as <br /> required by the form should be submitted for review. See the enclosed RCW 64.55 form, <br /> and the recorded sale covenant for the property. <br /> 2. Sheet CS1.00 lists the Construction Type as "IV-A". The building is anticipated to be Type <br /> "V-A". See IBC Table 601. The drawing has been revised to reflect Type V-A <br /> construction. <br /> 3. The drawings should specify if the building is sprinklered or non-sprinklered. See IBC <br /> Sections 107.2.1 and 903. See drawing CS1.00 which has been revise to reflect the <br /> "non sprinklered"condition of the building. <br /> 4. Roof Type "WJ103" references listing "GA RC 2602" and specifies insulation directly above <br /> the GWB. This listing does not include insulation. Insulation is not permitted as shown per <br /> the GA notes. A revised tested assembly with the required insulation should be specified. <br /> See IBC Section 703.2. The assembly has been revised to reflect GA RC 2604, an <br /> assembly which indicates Batt insulation. See drawing A7.11 for this revision. <br /> 5. The construction drawings should include ceiling plans. It is anticipated that the work <br /> requires the replacement of exhaust fans. Bath fans may include radiation dampers per IBC <br /> Section 717.6.2. Other ducts that cannot include dampers, including kitchen hoods, are <br /> required to be located in fire-rated chases or soffits below the horizontal assemblies. Details <br /> should be included. See IBC Section 107.2.1. See drawing A1.51, which has been <br /> added to the drawing set, with a ceiling plan, and details. <br /> 6. The ceiling plans should specify fire alarms. See/BC Sections 107.2.1 and 907.2.10.2. <br /> See smoke detectors and CO alarms on the reflected ceiling plan, on drawing A1.51. <br /> 7. Details for membrane penetrations should be included in the drawings. See IBC Sections <br /> 714.4 and 714.5.
