V Customer will be responsible for cost of permits obtained by Valentine Roofing. V In some cases, existing siding may have to be removed or cut back in order to install new flashings as outlined in this agreement. Valentine will take great care with existing siding and will not be responsible for painting, replacing or repairing damaged siding resulting from roofing activities necessary to fulfill this agreement. Customer understands that nails may penetrate through underside of roof deck and this bid does not include clipping nails or painting soffits. Protect property using plywood against the home when deemed appropriate by site foreman. Tear off 1 layer of existing roofing material. House Valentine Roofing will provide waste removal services. The container will be placed in the street or driveway and removed upon completion of work. V Inspect all decking and remove/replace any deteriorated wood decking at a rate of$89 per sheet of CDX. Plumbing pipes with existing trap covers or rain caps may restrict access to replace the flashing while replacing your roof. In these cases, Valentine Roofing will reuse the existing, and the flashing would be removed from your warranty. If access to re-flash is possible, these pipes support no-caulk flashings, which carry a one year manufacturer warranty. J The customer acknowledges and agrees that in order for Valentine Roofing to properly flash the areas where the existing stucco structure meets the roofline, additional work may be necessary. This work is not included in the current contract and may require the involvement of an outside stucco contractor. Valentine Roofing agrees to work with customer-hired outside contractor for best scheduling options. If we cannot replace or install flashing as needed, then this area would be removed from the scope of work and the Valentine Roofing warranty. Any additional layer of roofing material found needing to be removed that is not included in this estimate will be removed at $75/square. V Additional work performed will be at $95 per man hour plus materials, with 45% added to material costs. V The customer has chosen to take responsibility for the abatement of any mold in their attic and will not hold Valentine Roofing responsible for attic mold.
