D. P almaffy D e s i 2n I2,25 47th Dr SE Everett WA (425)338 7880
Permit Services Nov 23, 2021
City of Everett D
Drew Martin U
Re: B2109-021 OF
Drew, c"It eVv RFT
The following is in response to your correction items in your letter:
General
1. On this project the scope of work is hard to be clear, the referenced assessors
document is a single line drawing from 1973, guessing, with an inaccurate front
porch. Also, this document comments on the age of the dwelling in 1975 as
31yrs old, but the house was built in 1910. Demolition is shown on the "existing
floor plans", but these are guesses because of the lack of information and
historical documents. Chimney chase to be removed from this permit, it was
probably removed prior to the furnace flue venting permit in 2014. Assessor's
photos and aerial photos do not show this chimney in place. The scope of work
stated on the plans call out for the replacement of bathroom and kitchen fixtures
but no change of location. You are allowed to criticize the drawings for
completeness per the bounds of the codes, but how the drawing is put together
not in your purview.
2. With the lack of historical information and the incompleteness of some of the
existing records, it cannot bE fully determined some of the work shown was not
permitted, however, the back porch items have been added to this application.
3. The code states all cavities to be filled in exposed exterior walls, this is also
stated on the plans. The new walls will state the insulation requirements.
4. Please show where the ceiling area was disturbed for non-structural
improvements, this information is not available to the general public. Notes have
been added for more clarity on insulation requirements.
5. Patching a couple of small areas and adding a little insulation does not justify full
venting calculations and ventilation specifications. Please provide the code
reference for this case situation for full ventilation caics.
6. Please see revised drawings for this space meeting today's energy code. There
is no information that this area was not previously enclosed, but it is assumed it
was not a heated area.
7. Please see attached energy credit sheet.
8. The existing joist sizing has been added to the plans. The point loads from the
new beam has a new note for load tracing to concrete pier pads.
9. The plans have been altered to show the revisions to the rear of the house.
