Equipment procurement and <br />installation will be through King County Directors Association (KCDA) Cooperative. <br /> <br />Project summary statement: <br />On Monday, October 27th Wiggums Hollow Park experienced a fire that damaged <br />multiple areas of the playground and structures within. The central play structure was <br />deemed a total loss. The tot lot, omni spinner and music area suffered minor damage as <br />well and will need replacement. <br /> <br />This playground repair project includes demolition of the existing playground main <br />structure, and any damaged playground equipment and installation services including <br />the rubber playground surfacing system. The work is planned to begin in the winter of <br />2026 with completion coming before the summer of 2026. <br /> <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Adopt an Ordinance creating a Special Improvement Project entitled “Wiggums Hollow <br />Playground Repair”, Fund 354, Program 108, to accumulate project costs in the Amount <br />of $500,000. <br /> <br /> <br />City Council Agenda Item Cover Sheet
