To cover the excess costs, <br />this ordinance authorizes an additional appropriation of $64,714 from Fund 119 – Street <br />Improvements. <br /> <br />Project summary statement: <br />This project completed design to install flashing yellow arrows at selected intersections, install <br />Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant accessible pedestrian walk signals, and install <br />retro-reflective tape to improve citywide safety. <br />Upon completion of design, the department determined that currently programmed funds are <br />not sufficient to complete the remainder phases of the project. The department will proceed <br />with right-of-way and construction phase of the project when additional grant funds are <br />available.
