41 ORDINANCE; NO. 1 a;' An ordinance regulating public bowling alleys , billiard rooms , pool r-,oms, and card rooms , providing for the closing of the Same, prohibiting persons under twenty-one years of age from enter- ing or loitering in or about, or playing in such places, providing a penalty for the violation thereof, repealing ordinances numbers 1161 and 1477 , and declaring an emergency. THE CITY OP r:VARJ TT DO. s ORDAIN: Section 1: That it shall be unlawful for any person owning, managing, or having control of any public bowling alley, billiard room, pool room, or card room, to allow or permit any per- son under the age of twenty-one years , whether as employee, visitor, or patron, to enter or to loiter in or about, or to bowl or play billiards , pool or cards in such place. section 2: That it shall be unlawful for any person under twenty-one years of age to enter, or to loiter in or about, or bowl or play billiards, pool or cards in any public bowling alley, bill- uard room, pool room or card room. section 3: That it shall be unlawful for any person, own- ing, managing, or having control of any public bowling alley, pool room, billiard room, or card room to keep the same open, or to per- mit the same to be kept open between the hours of twelve o'clock mid- night and seven o'clock A.M. of the following day, of any day in the week, or to permit any person except an employee to be in such place during said time. section 4: Any person violating or failing to comply with any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine in any sum not exceeding one hundred (4100) dollars , or by imprisonment in the city jail not exceeding thirty (30) days , or by both such fine and imprisonment.
