41 <br /> ORDINANCE; NO. 1 a;' <br /> An ordinance regulating public bowling alleys , billiard <br /> rooms , pool r-,oms, and card rooms , providing for the closing of the <br /> Same, prohibiting persons under twenty-one years of age from enter- <br /> ing or loitering in or about, or playing in such places, providing <br /> a penalty for the violation thereof, repealing ordinances numbers <br /> 1161 and 1477 , and declaring an emergency. <br /> THE CITY OP r:VARJ TT DO. s ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That it shall be unlawful for any person <br /> owning, managing, or having control of any public bowling alley, <br /> billiard room, pool room, or card room, to allow or permit any per- <br /> son under the age of twenty-one years , whether as employee, visitor, <br /> or patron, to enter or to loiter in or about, or to bowl or play <br /> billiards , pool or cards in such place. <br /> section 2: That it shall be unlawful for any person under <br /> twenty-one years of age to enter, or to loiter in or about, or bowl <br /> or play billiards, pool or cards in any public bowling alley, bill- <br /> uard room, pool room or card room. <br /> section 3: That it shall be unlawful for any person, own- <br /> ing, managing, or having control of any public bowling alley, pool <br /> room, billiard room, or card room to keep the same open, or to per- <br /> mit the same to be kept open between the hours of twelve o'clock mid- <br /> night and seven o'clock A.M. of the following day, of any day in the <br /> week, or to permit any person except an employee to be in such place <br /> during said time. <br /> section 4: Any person violating or failing to comply with <br /> any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of <br /> a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a <br /> fine in any sum not exceeding one hundred (4100) dollars , or by <br /> imprisonment in the city jail not exceeding thirty (30) days , or by <br /> both such fine and imprisonment. <br />
