Archaeological monitoring will be paid for by the Owner. <br />e. If any Contractor or Subcontractor believes that they have found cultural <br />resources or human remains at any point in the project, all work must stop <br />immediately in the vicinity of the discovery. <br />f. See Volume 7, Attachment L Archaeological Resources Monitoring and <br />Inadvertent Discovery Plan, for additional information detailing archaeological <br />monitoring requirements and actions that must be taken in the instance that a <br />discovery is identified during construction. <br />4. Positive location and elevation of existing pipes to be crossed by proposed pipes <br />and/or duct banks shall be confirmed prior to installation of the proposed pipes or <br />duct banks crossing existing pipes. Minimum locations to confirm existing pipe <br />location and depth are shown on the Drawings. <br />5. All existing pipes to be connected to shall be excavated to confirm location and <br />elevation prior to preparing piping lay drawings. In those instances where piping <br />laying drawings are prepared prior to discovery, pipeline construction techniques <br />shall anticipate makeup pieces and connection appurtenances that may be <br />necessary for differing site conditions. <br />6. The connection to the existing water main within Lower Norton Avenue in the north <br />(near Area 46) shall be hot tapped. The connection to the existing water main in the <br />south (near Area 25) shall be utilize an existing tee with isolation valve. Both <br />connections shall be made in coordination with and guided by the City. Contractor <br />shall coordinate with the City Water Department on requirements. <br />7. All construction and related activities must adhere to restrictions within a 50-foot <br />clearance from the project boundary shared with the Everett Naval Station. Vehicles <br />and machinery are permitted within the clearance area, but cannot be left within the <br />clearance area when active construction is not in process, including overnight. <br />Specific requests for activities within the 50-foot clearance area shall be coordinated <br />directly with the Owner. Five existing pipes must be pressure or hydrostatically <br />tested, as specified on the Drawings, prior to the start of site construction activities.
