The
existing site is 2.4 acres in size, comprising two buildings. The operations building has a
footprint of 7,200 square feet, and the transit shop has a footprint of 8,400 square feet.
The goal is to assess the existing facility, evaluate the current site and up to two
alternative sites, which may comprise multiple adjacent parcels, and define the spatial,
infrastructural, and functional needs to support the agency’s current and future
operations. The resulting study will inform site selection and guide future design and
engineering phases, which are outside the scope of the resulting contract and not a part
of this award.
The Request for Proposal was released on October 7, 2025. Consultants listed on the
MRSC Consultant Roster were directly notified about the opportunity, as well as Small
and minority-owned businesses from Washington, listed on the OMWBE webpage. On
November 3, 2025, four proposals were received.
