The total grant award <br />is $874,358 and requires a 20% local match of $218,859. The match amount will be <br />sourced through Fund 119 (Streets Improvement) and no budget amendments are <br />necessary. <br />Project summary statement: <br />The Pedestrian Safety RRFB project will include the design and installation of new <br />Rectangular Rapid-flashing Beacons (RRFBs), high visibility crosswalks, and ADA curb <br />ramp retrofits at three locations (Everett Ave at Rainier, Everett Ave at Baker, and mid <br />block on 79th Pl SE at Evergreen Middle School). <br />Additionally, funds will be used to rebuild a school driveway approach to meet ADA <br />standards. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize the Mayor to sign the Complete Streets Grant Agreement with Transportation <br />Improvement Board. <br /> <br />City Council Agenda Item Cover Sheet
