CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> <br />Water Main Replacement “Y” – Ph 2 Div 1 – GEN REQUIREMENTS October 2025 <br />Work Order No. UP 3814 SP-107 <br />Category 2: Sensitive information <br />Category 2: For official use only / disclosure permissible by law. <br />1-08.3(2)B Baseline Schedule <br />The progress schedule submitted to the City’s Representative and City after their <br />review of the Preliminary Schedule shall be the Baseline Schedule. The Baseline <br />Schedule shall be the baseline schedule against which all future schedules are <br />compared and updated, and job progress is measured. The Baseline Schedule shall <br />not be reset or changed without the written agreement of City’s Representative and <br />City. <br />1-08.3(2)C Updates <br />Contractor shall submit with each application for payment or progress pay estimate <br />an updated progress schedule, but no less often than monthly. If requested by City’s <br />Representative or the City, Contractor shall prepare and submit updated progress <br />schedules from time to time, which may be more frequent than monthly. <br />An updated progress schedule shall identify progress of the Project or Work to the <br />date of submission. It shall include, but not be limited to: (1) identification of all actual <br />start and completion dates occurring prior to the submission of the schedule; (2) <br />comparison of actual start and completion dates to the planned start and completion <br />dates shown on the Baseline Schedule; and (3) comparison of expected start and <br />completion dates for work to occur after submission updated progress schedule to <br />the planned start and completion dates shown on the Baseline Schedule. Work <br />remaining to be completed at the end of a period for an activity should show the <br />remaining duration required to complete that activity. The percent complete for that <br />activity should also be shown. If during the course of construction the Contractor <br />desires or feels it necessary to make changes in the schedule logic, these changes <br />should be identified, highlighted, and specifically and expressly brought to the <br />attention of the City’s Representative and City along with the schedule update. <br />An updated progress schedule shall show changes occurring since submission of <br />the previous updated progress schedule such as: <br />1. Major changes in scope; <br />2. Activities modified since previous submission; <br />3. Revised projection for construction completion, as applicable; and <br />4. Any other changes. <br />Contractor shall submit an updated progress schedule for review by the City and <br />City’s Representative, at the weekly construction meeting or as otherwise as <br />requested by City’s Representative or City. Any deviation from the Baseline <br />Schedule shall be explained by the Contractor, including the cause and effect of the <br />deviation. Contractor shall state in writing the corrective measures it will take to <br />bring the progress of the Work back in line with the Baseline Schedule. <br />Once an actual start or completion date is stated in a submitted progress schedule, <br />Contractor shall not change schedule without prior written agreement of the City <br />and City’s Representative. <br />With each submitted updated progress schedule, Contractor shall provide a written <br />narrative report that identifies anticipated or actual deviations from the Baseline <br />Schedule, causes of the deviations, and the impact of the deviations on the <br />schedule and describes the corrective action taken or proposed, and its effect.
