NEUD ORFER
ENGINEERS N F.r
WVVW.NEUDORFERENGINEERS.COM
AN Integra COMPANY
PROJECT Boeing Bldg 40-26 737 Noth Line Tower Relocation 2024-0419
LOCATION Everett, WA
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This project has been balanced per plans and specifications using the National Environmental
Balancing Bureau (NEBB) standards and procedures.
The fans have been checked for unit data, operating amperage, voltage, rotation, and operating static
pressure. All outlets have been proportioned to ± 10% of design airflow unless otherwise noted.
Balancing diagrams are attached to this report with outlets numbered for locations.
Equipment: Shortridge 870C ADM Multimeter, Shortridge Hydrometer
Results:
HVAC-25
HVAC-25 is an air handling unit that serves Shim Shop 101 P3. The unit had previously had ductwork
demoed in a previous phase and is to be rebalanced to specified settings and airflows. HVAC-25
operates as a constant volume air handling unit. The airflows were measured by pitot tube duct
traverse at the return air/ outside air intakes and supply air discharge. Speed settings and damper
positions were derived from airflow measurements. See test data below.
HVAC-25 Cooling Coil Valve
HVAC-25 is equipped with a cooling coil to condition airflow into the machine shop. The mechanical
drawings call for the valve to be balanced from the original 46 GPM to 29.1 GPM. A Griswold autoflow
valve is installed- the water flow rate could not be adjusted. With the cooling coil active, the pressure
drop was within the operating range of the valve (2-32 PSI). The total water flow was confirmed to be
46 GPM. See test data below.
NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL BALANCING BUREAU
