Category 2: For <br />City of Everett – Communications & Neighborhood Engagement Contractor <br />Contract Term: <br />Not to Exceed: $1 ,000 ($3,500/month) <br />Estimated Hours: 10–15 hours/week <br />Overview: <br />The City of Everett is seeking a communications and engagement contractor with deep familiarity <br />with the Everett community, including established relationships with neighborhood groups and an <br />understanding of the City’s approach to civic engagement. This short-term contract is intended to <br />support the City’s neighborhood outreach, leadership development, and community-building <br />efforts during the half of . <br />Community Engagement & Representation: <br />Represent the City of Everett at selected community events, including summer <br />festivals, farmers markets, and public outreach opportunities. <br />Serve as a liaison between the city and neighborhood groups, actively cultivating <br />relationships and ensuring two-way communication. <br />Identify and implement new ideas to support stronger neighborhood events and local <br />participation. <br />Neighborhood Group Support: <br />Work to reactivate inactive or low-engagement neighborhood groups. <br />Provide strategic support to neighborhood groups applying for the City’s $5,000 <br />neighborhood grants, including helping identify project ideas and clarifying the <br />application process. <br />Collaborate with City staff to assess feasibility and support for proposed neighborhood <br />projects. <br />Monte Cristo Awards Program: <br />Support the 202 Monte Cristo Awards, including drafting <br />recipient letters, attending events, coordinating photos, and ensuring program visibility <br />and success. <br />Leadership Development & Activation: <br />Support leadership development in areas without active neighborhood groups. <br />Plan and facilitate a training, workshop, or networking event for neighborhood leaders to <br />share best practices and build capacity. <br />Offer proactive strategies to strengthen civic leadership and neighborhood collaboration <br />across Everett.
