This created a special improvement project titled “Municipal Court Security <br />Camera Upgrades” Fund 342, Program 045, to accumulate all costs for the project. <br />Ordinance No. 4040-24 was put into effect on September 12, 2024. <br />The initial cost of this project was $322,521.16, including Washington state sales tax. <br />The change order increases the contract amount by $14,421, plus estimated sales tax of <br />$1,427.68, for a total of $15,848.68, bringing the total project cost to $338,369.84. This <br />purchase is brought before the Council for award in compliance with the Procurement <br />Policy. <br />Project summary statement: <br />The Municipal Building was constructed in 2013, and the existing CCTV cameras have <br />reached the end of their useful life and require replacement. To enhance overall <br />security, 35 high-definition cameras will be installed throughout the public-facing areas <br />of the building's interior and exterior. <br />The change order provided by CDW-Government LLC adds an additional three cameras <br />in the Clerk’s area and installs an owner-supplier dual lense camera in each of the <br />courtrooms. <br />The equipment and labor are available for purchase from CDW-Government LLC through <br />the King County Directors’ Association (KCDA) competitively bid contract #022-G/City of <br />Everett contract #2022-073. The City has an interlocal cooperative purchasing <br />agreement with KCDA that allows for purchases from its competitively awarded <br />contracts instead of soliciting bids on our own. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Award and authorize the Mayor to sign the Change Order for security cameras and <br />installation services from CDW-Government LLC using the King County Directors’ <br />Association (KCDA) Contract #022-G/City of Everett contract #2022-073 in the amount of <br />$14,521.00, not including Washington state sales tax. <br />
