Amendment No. 1 increase the contract total <br />compensation to $505,650.76. Due to an extension in the contract completion date, the <br />budget will be increased by $24,881, for a total revised compensation of $530,531.76. <br />Source of funds for this Amendment will be 401 – Water & Sewer Utility Fund. <br />Project summary statement: <br />In 2024 the City contracted with Brown and Caldwell (B&C) to assist in the development <br />of a comprehensive Asset Management Program and assist in developing an electronic <br />Operations and Maintenance (eO&M) SharePoint site for the Water Filtration Plant so <br />both water and wastewater plants have similar operations and maintenance <br />documentation accessibility, management and training capabilities. <br />In 2025 the contract was amended to include the completion of “quick win” activities <br />that were identified while developing the comprehensive Asset Management Program. <br />In addition, the City identified the need to develop an eO&M SharePoint site for the <br />Transmission and Distribution (T&D) System to have consistent documentation <br />accessibility, management and training across City facilities and systems. <br />Due to unanticipated operational limitations associated with ongoing capital <br />improvement projects, as well as activities identified in the Asset Management Program <br />requiring additional effort than originally anticipated, contract extension is necessary to <br />ensure adequate time for completion of data collection for the eO&M manuals for WFP <br />and the T&D System. Additional compensation will cover the project management <br />expenses throughout the contract extension. <br />Amendment No. 2 to the 2024 Professional Services Agreement with Brown and <br />Caldwell for WFP eOM and AM/Maintenance Program Support extends the term of the <br />existing Professional Services Agreement to December 31, 2026. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment No. 2 to the 2024 Professional Services <br />Agreement with Brown and Caldwell for WFP eOM and AM/Maintenance Program <br />Support to extend the contract completion date. <br />
