RRFB PEDESTRIAN SAFETY October 31, 2025 <br />STATE FUND # HLP-PB25(004) <br />WO 3807 <br />Page 1 of 82 <br />1 COE INTRO OptionA.RTF <br />2 INTRODUCTION TO THE SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 (January 4, 2024 APWA GSP, Option A) <br />7 <br />8 The work on this project shall be accomplished in accordance with the Standard Specifications <br />9 for Road, Bridge and Municipal Construction, 2025 edition, as issued by the Washington State <br />10 Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and the American Public Works Association (APWA), <br />11 Washington State Chapter (hereafter Standard Specifications). The Standard Specifications, <br />12 as modified or supplemented by these Special Provisions, all of which are made a part of the <br />13 Contract Documents, shall govern all of the Work. <br />14 <br />15 These Special Provisions are made up of both General Special Provisions (GSPs) from various <br />16 sources, which may have project-specific fill-ins; and project-specific Special Provisions. Each <br />17 Provision either supplements, modifies, or replaces the comparable Standard Specification, or <br />18 is a new Provision. The deletion, amendment, alteration, or addition to any subsection or <br />19 portion of the Standard Specifications is meant to pertain only to that particular portion of the <br />20 section, and in no way should it be interpreted that the balance of the section does not apply. <br />21 <br />22 The GSPs are labeled under the headers of each GSP, with the effective date of the GSP and <br />23 its source.
