RRFB PEDESTRIAN SAFETY October 31, 2025 <br />STATE FUND # HLP-PB25(004) <br />WO 3807 <br />Page 12 of 82 <br />1 1-05.GR1 <br />2 Control of Work <br />3 <br />4 1-05.4.GR1 <br />5 Conformity with and Deviations from Plans and Stakes <br />6 <br />7 1-05.4.INST1.GR1 <br />8 Section 1-05.4 is supplemented with the following: <br />9 <br />10 1-05.4.OPT4.GR1 <br />11 (March 9, 2023) <br />12 Contractor Surveying ADA Features <br />13 ADA Feature Staking Requirements <br />14 The Contractor shall be responsible for setting, maintaining, and resetting all <br />15 alignment stakes, and grades necessary for the construction of the ADA features. <br />16 Calculations, surveying, and measuring required for setting and maintaining the <br />17 necessary lines and grades shall be the Contractor’s responsibility. The Contractor <br />18 shall build the ADA features within the specifications in the Standard Plans and <br />19 contract documents. <br />20 <br />21 ADA Feature Contract Compliance <br />22 The Contractor shall be responsible for completing measurements to verify all ADA <br />23 features comply with the Contract in the presence of the Engineer. <br />24 <br />25 ADA Feature As-Built Measurements <br />26 The Contractor shall be responsible for providing the latitude and longitude of each <br />27 ADA feature as indicated on the ADA Inspection Form(s) (WSDOT Form 224-020). <br />28 <br />29 The completed ADA Inspection Form(s) (WSDOT Form 224-020) shall be submitted <br />30 as a Type 3 Working Drawing and transmitted to the Engineer within 30 calendar days <br />31 of completing the ADA feature. After acceptance, the Contracting Agency will submit <br />32 the final form(s) to the WSDOT ADA Steward. <br />33 <br />34 <br />35 Payment <br />36 Payment will be made for the following bid item that is included in the Proposal: <br />37 <br />38 "ADA Features Surveying", lump sum. <br />39 <br />40 The lump sum Contract price for "ADA Features Surveying" shall be full pay for all the <br />41 Work as specified. <br />42 <br />43 In the instance where an ADA feature does not meet accessibility requirements, all work <br />44 to replace non-compliant work and then to measure, record the as-built measurements, <br />45 and transmit the electronic forms to the Engineer shall be completed at no additional cost <br />46 to the Contracting Agency. <br />47
