RRFB PEDESTRIAN SAFETY October 31, 2025 <br />STATE FUND # HLP-PB25(004) <br />WO 3807 <br />Page 37 of 82 <br />1 Egress and ingress shall only occur during the hours of allowable lane closures, <br />2 and: <br />3 <br />4 1. For exiting an open lane of traffic, by decelerating in a lane that is closed <br />5 during the allowable hours for lane closures. <br />6 <br />7 2. For entering an open lane of traffic, by accelerating in a closed lane <br />8 during the allowable hours for lane closures. <br />9 <br />10 Traffic control vehicles are excluded from the gross vehicle weight requirement. If <br />11 placing construction signs will restrict traveled lanes, then the work will be permitted <br />12 during the hours of allowable lane closures. <br />13 <br />14 Advance Notification <br />15 The Contractor shall notify the Engineer in writing of any traffic impacts related to lane <br />16 closure, shoulder closure, sidewalk closure, or any combination for the week by 12:00 <br />17 p.m. (noon) Wednesday the week prior to the stated impacts. <br />18 <br />19 The Contractor shall notify the Engineer in writing ten working days in advance of any <br />20 traffic impacts related to full roadway closure, ramp closure, or both. <br />21 <br />22 The Contractor shall notify the Engineer in writing of any changes to the stated traffic <br />23 impacts a minimum of 48 hours prior to the traffic impacts. <br />24 <br />25 1-07.23(1).RTF <br />26 1-07.23(1) Construction Under Traffic <br />27 (May 2, 2017 APWA GSP) <br />28 <br />29 Revise the third sentence of the second paragraph to read: <br />30 <br />31 Accessibility to existing or temporary pedestrian push buttons shall not be impaired; if <br />32 approved by the Contracting Agency activating pedestrian recall timing or other <br />33 accommodation may be allowed during construction. <br />34 <br />35 1-07.24.GR1 <br />36 Rights of Way <br />37 <br />38 1-07.24.RTF <br />39 1-07.24 Rights of Way <br />40 (April 22, 2025 APWA GSP) <br />41 <br />42 Delete this section and replace it with the following: <br />43 Street Right of Way lines, limits of easements, and limits of construction permits are <br />44 indicated in the Plans. The Contractors construction activities shall be confined within <br />45 these limits unless arrangements for use of private property are made as described <br />46 below. <br />47 Generally, the Contracting Agency will have obtained, prior to bid opening, all rights of <br />48 way and easements, both permanent and temporary, necessary for carrying out the work. <br />49 Exceptions to this are noted in the Bid Documents or will be brought to the Contractors <br />50 attention by a duly issued Addendum.
