RRFB PEDESTRIAN SAFETY October 31, 2025 <br />STATE FUND # HLP-PB25(004) <br />WO 3807 <br />Page 56 of 82 <br />1 <br />2 (******) <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 Curb ramp locations will be designated on the drawings or marked in the field by the <br />6 Engineer. Where curb ramps are to be constructed, the Contractor shall construct <br />7 curb ramp in accordance to the City of Everett Standard Drawings 318, 319, 320, 321 <br />8 or WSDOT Standard Plans F-40.12, F-40.14, F-40.15, F-40.16, F-45.10 or as shown <br />9 in the plans. <br />10 <br />11 Curb ramps shall be constructed separately from the sidewalk to produce a definite <br />12 break line between the ramp and the sidewalk. A 3/8 inch non-extruded through joint <br />13 material shall be installed between the curb and the sidewalk with edging as specified <br />14 in Section 8-14.3(3). <br />15 <br />16 The detectable directional strip shall be located as shown in the Contract Plans. <br />17 Placement of the detectable directional strip shall be in accordance with the <br />18 manufacturers recommendation for placement in fresh concrete, before the concrete <br />19 has reached initial set. <br />20 <br />21 Materials shall meet the requirements of Section 9-19 <br />22 <br />23 8-14.4 Measurement <br />24 <br />25 SECTION 8-14.4 IS SUPPLEMENTED WITH THE FOLLOWING: <br />26 <br />27 (******) <br />28 <br />29 <br />30 Curb Ramp Type __ will be measured per each for the complete curb ramp type <br />31 installed and includes construction of any cast-in-place detectable warning surface or <br />32 detectable directional strip. <br />33 <br />34 This bid item does not include the adjacent Curb, Curb and Gutter, Pedestrian Curb <br />35 or Sidewalks. <br />36 <br />37 Any sidewalk not acceptable in the opinion of the Engineer, because of damage, <br />38 defacement, or carelessness on the part of the Contractor shall be removed, replaced <br />39 and paid for in accordance to Section 1-05.7 (Removal of Defective and Unauthorized <br />40 Work) of these provisions. <br />41 <br />42 Placement of the CSBC under the new Cement Concrete Sidewalk shall be measured <br />43 and paid in accordance to Section 4-04. <br />44 <br />45 8-14.5 Payment <br />46 <br />47 SECTION 8-14.54 IS SUPPLEMENTED WITH THE FOLLOWING: <br />48
