RRFB PEDESTRIAN SAFETY October 31, 2025 <br />STATE FUND # HLP-PB25(004) <br />WO 3807 <br />Page 61 of 82 <br />1 (******) <br />2 <br />3 CONTRACTOR shall adjust existing junction box to new grade by adjusting gravel pad, in <br />4 accordance to COE Standard Drawings 800 series and shall be of the type indicated in the <br />5 plans. The adjustment operations shall be conducted to prevent damage to any conduits. All <br />6 parts or materials damaged as a result of the Contractors operations shall be replaced at no <br />7 expense to the Contracting Agency. <br />8 <br />9 If the junction box is removed and reset, the patch material used around the junction box shall <br />10 be the same as the adjacent pavement. For asphalt concrete pavement roadways, junction <br />11 boxes located in the traveled way shall be adjusted to final grade after final paving in <br />12 accordance with Section 5-04.3(13). For Portland cement concrete pavement roadways, valve <br />13 boxes shall be adjusted prior to the surface finish. <br />14 <br />15 All junction boxes and vaults installed in sidewalk areas shall have non-skid covers, and <br />16 foundation base footings. <br />17 <br />18 8-20.5Payment <br />19 <br />20 Section 8-20.5 is supplemented with the following: <br />21 <br />22 (******) <br />23 <br />24 ADJUST JUNCTION BOX TO GRADE, per each. <br />25 <br />26 The unit Contract price per each for Adjust Junction Box, shall be full pay for costs necessary <br />27 to make the adjustment of the junction box, including excavation, backfill, and restoration of <br />28 adjacent areas in a manner acceptable to the ENGINEER. <br />29 <br />30 If junction box adjustment involve conduit modification, as determined by the ENGINEER, <br />31 payment will be made in accordance with Section 1-09.6. <br />32 <br />33 TYPE __ J-BOX FOR FUTURE USE, per each. <br />34 <br />35 The unit Contract price per each for TYPE __ J-BOX FOR FUTURE USE, shall be full pay for <br />36 furnishing, and installing the junction box; for connecting to empty conduits as indicated in <br />37 Plans; including excavation, backfill, and restoration of adjacent areas in a manner acceptable <br />38 to the ENGINEER. <br />39 <br />40 Conduits and J-boxes that are NOT part of the future use installation shall be included in <br />41 payment for other items of Work in the Contract. <br />42 <br />43 <br />44 CNH 8-20.3(10) SERVICE.RTF <br />45 8-20.3(10) Service, Transformer, and Intelligent Transportation System <br />46 (ITS) Cabinets <br />47 <br />48 Section 8-20.3(10) is supplemented with the following: <br />49
