RRFB PEDESTRIAN SAFETY October 31, 2025 <br />STATE FUND # HLP-PB25(004) <br />WO 3807 <br />Page 66 of 82 <br />1 KEL 8-21 SIGNING.RTF <br />2 8-21 PERMANENT SIGNING <br />3 <br />4 8-21.1 Description <br />5 <br />6 Permanent signing shall be installed in accordance with Section 8-21 of the Standard <br />7 Specifications with the following modifications: <br />8 <br />9 Traffic regulatory signs shall be installed in accordance with Everett Standard Plan 716. <br />10 Street name signs shall be installed in accordance with Everett Standard Plan 715 or 717 <br />11 and 718 as indicated on the plans. <br />12 <br />13 8-21.2 Materials <br />14 <br />15 This section is revised to read: <br />16 <br />17 All signs shown in the plans with a mounting height of 14 feet and below shall be <br />18 manufactured with a protective overlay film. The protective overlay film shall be a <br />19 transparent, self adhesive film that is solvent resistant and approved for use by the <br />20 reflective sheeting manufacturer. <br />21 <br />22 8-21.2(1) Equipment List and Drawings <br />23 <br />24 A) Shop Drawings for Signs: Within 20 days following execution of the contract, <br />25 or approval of subcontractor, the contractor shall submit shop drawings for the <br />26 traffic signs to be used on the project. Within 20 days following approval of <br />27 the shop drawings, the contractor shall submit a letter to the engineer <br />28 certifying that the signs have been ordered and certifying the manufacturers <br />29 planned delivery date. <br />30 <br />31 B) Material submittal for Sign Material: Within 20 days following execution of the <br />32 contract, the contractor shall submit 3 copies of complete catalog data for the <br />33 following items: <br />34 <br />35 *** <br />36 Sign Sheeting <br />37 Sign Posts <br />38 Sign Mounting Hardware <br />39 *** <br />40 <br />41 The traffic signs shall be approved by the engineer in writing prior to the actual <br />42 ordering of the equipment. <br />43 <br />44 <br />45 8-21.3 Construction Requirements <br />46 <br />47 8-21.3(4) Sign Removal <br />48 <br />49 This section is revised to read: <br />50
