RRFB PEDESTRIAN SAFETY October 31, 2025 <br />STATE FUND # HLP-PB25(004) <br />WO 3807 <br />Page 69 of 82 <br />1 (******) <br />2 8-26.1 Description <br />3 <br />4 This Contractor shall provide a uniformed police officer for flagging activities at traffic <br />5 signal controlled intersections as described in Section 1-10.1(2). <br />6 <br />7 8-26.3 Construction Requirements <br />8 <br />9 The Contractor shall provide commissioned uniformed police control at any time a <br />10 signalized intersection is dark or inoperative, such as during grinding or paving <br />11 operations where the traffic signal must be put into flashing operation. Signalized <br />12 intersections shall not be police controlled between the hours of 6:00am and 8:30am <br />13 nor 12:00pm to 7:30pm, unless directed by the Engineer. <br />14 <br />15 Coordination of commissioned uniformed Police control shall be with the following <br />16 personnel, listed in order of preference: <br />17 <br />18 1. The unit Contract price, <br />47 when applied to the number of units measured for this item shall be full <br />48 compensation for all costs incurred by the Contractor in performing the Work. <br />49 When an intersection is staffed on an intermittent basis, no deduction will be made <br />50 in measured hours provided the officer staffing the station is in standby
