These calculations shall include the <br />3 stresses in the pole and mast arms, the deflections at the free end of the mast arm, the <br />4 attachment of the luminaires to the structure, the connection between the mast arms and <br />5 vertical pole, pole section at handholes, base plate, anchor bolts, and foundation. The <br />6 submittal shall include the material specifications and details of the foundation and anchor <br />7 bolts. <br />8 <br />9 3807 KEL 9-29.6.OPT 5 SIGNAL STANDARDS.docx <br />10 Traffic Signal Standards <br />11 Traffic signal standards shall be furnished and installed in accordance with the <br />12 methods and materials noted in the applicable Standard Plans, pre-approved plans, <br />13 or special design plans. <br />14 <br />15 All welds shall comply with the latest AASHTO Standard Specifications for Structural <br />16 Supports for Highway Signs, Luminaires and Traffic Signals. All signal arm ASTM A 325 connecting bolts tightening shall comply <br />21 with Section 6-03.3(33). <br />22 <br />23 Traffic signal standard types included in this contract and applicable characteristics <br />24 are as follows: <br />25 <br />26 Type FB Type FB flashing beacon standard shall conform to Standard Plan <br />27 J-21.16 or the following pre-approved plan: <br />28 <br />29 Characteristics: <br />30 Flashing beacon poles shall be constructed from spun aluminum, <br />31 4-1/2 inch, schedule 40, length as specified in the plans, no color. <br />32 Each pole shall be supplied with a compatible cast aluminum <br />33 square base that can accommodate a 12-inch minimum bolt circle <br />34 with an aluminum door with no logo, no color. Each pole shall be <br />35 supplied with an aluminum dome type cap, no color.
