• assembly, hotels, lodging houses, public apartment houses, or public rooming houses which have more than six rooms above the ground floor, shall swing outward. Entrance stair halls, if depth is the same, which do not exceed 15 feet, shall be at least as wide as the stairs, or the aggregate width of the same, if more than one flight leads from the same entrance hall, and six inches shall be added to the width of said entrance halal for each 10 feet or frac- tion thereof, of depth in excess of 15 feet. All entrance halls leading to stairways shall be as short and direct as possible from stairs to public street, alley or way. Provided, that any person using any building in the city of Everett, or causing the same to be used for such purpose or purposes at the time of the taking effect of this ordinance, shall have ninety days from and after the taking effect of this ordinance to make such building conform to the speci- fications as herein provided. Section 4: That said Ordinance No . 1260 be amended by add- ing thereto a section to be designated as Section 178. Said section shall read as follows: DRY CLEANING. Section •178 (a) Dry cleaning shall be known as the art or process of cleaning or renovating wearing or other apparel, clothes, and other fabrics and textiles, or any other things, with any in- flammable liquid. (b) It shall be unlawful to maintain any dry cleaning es- tablishment:, or to engage in the business of dry cleaning in any building except in "Class An buildings, as defined by this ordinance; provided, that this section shall not apply to buildings where the business of dry cleaning is conducted at the time of the taking effect of this ordinance.
