<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. _________________ <br /> <br />An Ordinance creating a special improvement project entitled “Downtown Streetscape Planting <br />Renovation”, Fund 354, Program 110, to accumulate all costs for the project. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />A. The City Council recognizes the need to implement a tree management program to provide <br />maintenance and preservation of existing public trees and an orderly program of tree planting. <br /> <br />B. The City Council recognizes the value and need to provide Everett residents and visitors with high <br />quality streetscapes, open spaces, and attractive tree canopy. <br /> <br />C. The City recognizes the need to improve accessible, walkable streets and sidewalks in the Metro <br />Everett subarea and encourage non-motorized forms of transportation. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br />Section 1. A special improvement project fund is hereby entitled “Downtown Streetscape Planting <br />Renovation”, Fund 354, Program 110. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorization is hereby granted to the Parks and Facilities Department Director under <br />the administration of the Mayor, to assume full responsibility for conducting all tasks and performing all <br />necessary steps to accomplish the actions authorized by this Ordinance. <br /> <br />Section 3. The estimated cost for design and construction is $250,000. <br /> <br />Section 4. The sum of $250,000 is hereby appropriated to Fund 354, Program 110 “Downtown <br />Streetscape Planting Renovation” project. <br /> <br />A.
