Exhibit A (Scope of Work)
SCOPE OF WORK
The City currently works with Northwest Corrosion Engineering (NWCE) to provide
evaluation of the cathodic protection and coating systems on City water and sewer
infrastructure, including large-diameter water transmission lines, water reservoirs, sewer
interceptors, and other corrosion-prone infrastructure. Due to an impending retirement
at NWCE, the City has selected Norton Corrosion Limited from the MRSC roster to
provide continuing cathodic protection evaluation services.

The scope of work includes the following:

• Provide staff and services on an on-call, as-needed basis.
• Provide in-house personnel for corrosion control, cathodic protection, and coating
evaluation services to ensure the longevity of City water and sewer infrastructure.
• Prior to mutual acceptance of a task assignment, prepare a Scope of Work and
written itemized cost estimate for the requested services.
Tasks anticipated to be completed under this contract include:
1. In early 2026, in coordination with NWCE, conduct a system-wide cathodic
protection assessment of all City water and sewer rectifiers, test stations, anode
junction boxes, bond boxes, etc.
2. Other support services will be on an as-needed basis and are anticipated to
include, but are not limited to:
a. Provide on-call coating inspection services
b. Provide on-call corrosion consulting services
The scope and fee for projects under this agreement shall be established separately for
each individual project using a Task Authorization form, provided as Exhibit A1. The
Service Provider may use its own Task Authorization form so long as it includes th e
same necessary information (scope, fee, signatures, dates, project name, etc.). The
Task Authorization form shall include a detailed scope of work and fee for each project
and shall be signed by both parties prior to the Service Provider performing any work
under this Agreement. The City does not guarantee that any work will be assigned to
the Service Provider under this Agreement, except that which is authorized using the
Task Authorization form. After both parties sign a Task Authorization form for a p roject,
it becomes part of this Agreement and is subject to the terms and conditions of this
Agreement.
