ORDI NANC.G NO. /t 222, <br /> An ordinance regulating the use of certain parte of <br /> certain public streets, avenues and other public places in the city <br /> of .verett, and prohibiting public speaking in said places , providing <br /> a penalty for the violation thereof, and repealing Ordinance No. <br /> 1501 of the city of Averett. <br /> THr; CITY OF i V. Ri TT DO. S ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: It shall be unlawful for any person to make <br /> any public address or hold any public meeting, or take any part in <br /> any public meeting on the following named streets and public places <br /> in the city of Averett, to-wit: On Hewitt Avenue; on Colby Avenue <br /> within one block either north or south of Hewitt Avenue; on Wetmore <br /> Avenue within one block south of Hewitt Avenue; on Wetmore Avenue <br /> within a distance of fifty (50) feet north of Hewitt Avenue; or on <br /> any street or alley within a distance of fifty (50) feet of Hewitt <br /> Avenue. <br /> Section 2: Any person violating any of the provisions of <br /> this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be fined in ary sum not exceed- <br /> ing one hundred ($100) dollars , or be imprisoned for not more than <br /> thirty (30) days. <br /> Section 3: That Ordinance No. 1501 of the city of Averett <br /> be and the same is hereby repealed. <br /> lire <br /> lay . <br /> CT 2, 1214 <br /> Passed <br /> Attest _DO <br /> City Clerk. <br /> Published <br /> (TT 2,7: 1914 <br />
