4 <br /> • <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 4 <br /> An ordinance amending sections 1 and 6 of Ordinance No . <br /> 945 of the city of Everett, entitled "An ordinance to license and regulafe <br /> the business of conveying persons, goods and things from place to place <br /> for hire within the limits of the city of Everett by the use of vehicles, <br /> providing a penalty for the violation thereof and repealing Ordinance <br /> No . 46? of the city of Everett entitled 'An Ordinance to license and <br /> regulate the business of conveying persons, goods and things from place <br /> to place for hire, by the use of vehicles drawn by animals and providing <br /> a penalty for the violation of the provisions thereof' ". <br /> THE CITY Off' EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 1 of Ordinance No . 945 of the city <br /> of Everett, entitled "An ordinance to license and regulate the business <br /> of conveying persons, goods and things from place to place for hire within <br /> the limits of the city of Everett by the use of vehicles, providing a <br /> penalty for the violation thereof and repealing Ordinance No .467 of the <br /> city of Everett, entitled 'An Ordinance to license and regulate the <br /> business of conveying persons, goods and things from place to place for <br /> hire, by the use of vehicles drawn by animals and providing a penalty <br /> for the violation of the provisions thereof' ", be and the same is <br /> hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 1: No person, company or corporation shall engage <br /> in the business of conveying passengers from one part of the City to <br /> another part thereof, for hire or reward,by the use of any hack, cab, <br /> wagon, omnibus, gurney, motor. vehicle or other conveyance, without <br /> having first obtained a license therefor by paying into the City Treasury <br /> the sum of ten dollars ( 10 .00) per year for each such vehicle so used by <br /> any such person, company or corporation in such business. No person, <br /> company or corporation shall engage in the business of conveying goods <br /> or things from one part of the city to another part thereof for hire or <br /> reward by the use of any dray, job or express wagon, motor vehicle or <br /> L 0 4 <br />
