• <br /> • <br /> The walls of such vault or cesspool shall be of brick, <br /> cement, stone or sound plank of not less than two inches in thickness. <br /> The bottom of al3 vaults and cesspools shall be smooth and level in <br /> surface. The size of all vaults hereafter constructed shall be not <br /> less than five (5) feet in depth, without special permit from the <br /> health officer, and two and one-half (22) feet by four (4) feet in <br /> length and width. All vaults shall be fly-proof and be closely boxed <br /> or walled at the top with the privy building, and a ventilating pipe <br /> of wood or other material of not less than four (4) inches in <br /> diameter shall extend from the top of the vault to two (2) feet <br /> above the building. <br /> Avery privy shall be provided with close-fitting covers, <br /> subject to the approval of the health officer. Avery cesspool here- <br /> after constructed shall not be less than ten (10) feet deep, without <br /> special permit from the health officer, nor less than three (3) feet <br /> in diameter if of circular form, nor less than twelve (12) square <br /> feet in surface measurment if rectangular. Avery cesspool shall be <br /> provided with close-fitting covering, subject to the approval of the <br /> health officer. No person or persons shall throw or deposit in any <br /> privy, vault, or cesspool any garbage, cans, crockery, or other <br /> rubbish whatsoever, and the owner or occupant of premises shall be <br /> responsible for the condition of all privies, vaults and cesspools on <br /> the same. Section 19: Avery tenement, lodging house, or restaurant <br /> keeper shall have proper and suitable tight-covered metallic cans or <br /> receptacles for receiving garbage and other refuse matter, the same <br /> to be of galvanize* iron or other material, approved by the health <br /> officer. <br /> UNSANITARY BUILDINGS. <br /> Section 20: Whenever the health officer shall deem any <br /> building, or any part thereof, for any sanitary cause, to be unfit <br /> for human habitation, he may issue an order to be served upon the <br /> owner, agent, or occupant requiring all persons to vacate such <br />
