RESOLUTION NO. ______________ <br />A RESOLUTION waiving public bidding requirements and approving a multiple-year sole-source <br />for Software Enterprise Agreement from Environmental Systems Research Institute Inc. <br />WHEREAS, <br />A.Everett deploys the Environmental Systems Research Institute Inc. (ESRI) software platform <br />across multiple city departments to access the geographic information system (GIS) database, <br />mapping products, mobile GIS viewers (MapEverett Enterprise), asset management system <br />(Cityworks), and public interactive map site (MapEverett); and <br />B.Environmental Systems Research Institute Inc. is the only authorized supplier for the required <br />software enterprise agreement for licenses, upgrades, maintenance, and technical support; and <br />C.As long as Environmental Systems Research Inc. is the only authorized provider of the software <br />enterprise agreement, it is in the City’s best interest to approve the sole source purchase for <br />multiple years rather than on an annual basis. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: <br />There is clearly and legitimately only one source capable of supplying a software enterprise agreement <br />for licenses, upgrades, maintenance, and technical support required to use the Environmental Systems <br />Research Institute Inc. GIS platform.
