The <br />existing building is built partially overwater and partially on land. The footprint of the overwater portion is 6,045 sf, and the upland <br />portion footprint is 9,749 sf. The underlying overwater pier structure will remain in place including the existing overwater perimeter <br />walkway. A protective weather barrier will be installed to cover the untreated timber pier members previously protected by the <br />building. The existing railing will be replaced as required to meet current building code; a portion of concrete sidewalk will be <br />replaced where the overwater walkway transitions to land; the existing walkway and deck area will be brought into ADA compliance <br />and will be accessible to the general public. The upland portion of the building will be demolished, including the foundation. Piling <br />beneath the foundation will be cut off below grade. Fill and mulch material will be placed in the upland building footprint to fill any <br />holes and match existing grade, followed by hydroseeding for site stabilization. Irrigation will be installed. Building utilities will be <br />capped except for the fire suppression system beneath the pier structure. The fire suppression valve will be replaced and relocated <br />from within the building to a new vault on site. There are utilities serving the guest dock in the crawlspace beneath the upland <br />portion of the building which will be relocated underground. All water system work is Port -owned and downstream of the existing <br />water meter. An informational sign board will be installed on site. No residential units are present nor proposed.
