1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8283 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION approving the recommendations of the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee and <br />allocating 2026 Lodging Tax Funds <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />A. In compliance with RCW 67.28.1816 and EMC 2.130.040, the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee of <br />the City of Everett (the “LTAC”) annually submits recommendations to the Everett City Council <br />regarding the allocation of lodging tax funds. <br />B. Under RCW 67.28.1816, lodging tax funds may be used for the following purposes: <br />(1) tourism marketing; <br />(2) marketing and operations of special events and festivals designed to attract tourists; <br />(3) supporting the operations and capital expenditures of tourism-related facilities owned <br />or operated by a municipality or a public facilities district; or <br />(4) the operations of tourism-related facilities owned or operated by nonprofit <br />organizations. <br />C. The City operates an annual competitive grant program, allowing applicants to seek funding <br />dedicated to promoting tourism within the City of Everett. <br />D. The LTAC reviewed the 2026 LTAC grant applications and conducted a public meeting on <br />February 12, 2026, to deliberate and to reach a consensus on recommendations for the 2026 <br />Lodging Tax Fund allocations. <br />E. The LTAC recommends the following allocations of 2026 lodging tax funds to the following <br />applicant organizations.
