',S \A. -� <br /> An ordinance providing for the improvement of Oakes <br /> Avenue from the south line of Hewitt Avenue to the south line of <br /> Pacific Avenue, by sub-grading for sidewalks, construction of cement <br /> walks, plank crosswalks, drainage system, and doing such other work <br /> as may be necessary in connection therewith, all in accordance with <br /> Resolution No. 1965 of the city of Averett, creating a local improve.. <br /> ment district, creating a local improvement district fund therefor, <br /> and providing that payment for said improvement be made by special <br /> assessment on the property in said district by mode of "payment by <br /> bonds". <br /> THE; CITY OF AV. Rt TT DOI S ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Oakes Avenue from the south line of Hewitt <br /> Avenue to the south line of Pacific Avenue be improved by sub-grading <br /> for sidewalks, construction of cement walks, plank crosswalks, <br /> drainage system, and doing such other work as may be necessary in <br /> connection therewith, such improvement to be made according to the <br /> plans and specifications therefor prepared under the direction of <br /> the city engineer and now on file in the office of the city engineer, <br /> which said plans and specifications are hereby adopted and approved. <br /> Section 2: That the cost and expense of such improvement, <br /> including all necessary and incidental expenses, shall be borne by <br /> and assessed against the property included in the assessment district <br /> hereafter created in accordance with law. The city of Averett shall <br /> not be liable in any manner for any portion of the cost and expense <br /> of •such improvement. <br /> Section 3: That there is hereby established a local <br /> improvement district to be called"Local Improvement District No. <br /> which shall contain the following described property: All the prop. <br /> erty between the termini of said improvement, abutting upon, adjacent, <br />
